The Chemical Safety Research Group uses theoretical and experimental methods to help prevent chemical accidents associated with the thermal properties of unstable chemicals, exothermic chemical reactions, and the explosion mechanisms of flammable dusts and gases. The group also strives to prevent accidents that may be caused by newly-introduced materials or processes, and by so doing, further contributes to the development of new technologies.
