Publication of the International Journal: INDUSTRIAL HEALTH

INDUSTRIAL HEALTH is an international scientific journal currently published by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Japan. First issued in 1963, it has been providing advanced scientific information for 45 years. The journal is now published bimonthly and covers a wide variety of occupational health and safety topics, including industrial hygiene, ergonomics, human engineering and policy sciences.

Promotion of Occupational Health and Safety Priority Research

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare organized a National Conference on “Occupational Health Research Strategies for the 21st Century in 1998-2000” in order to effectively and systematically address priority occupational health issues over the next ten years, through research. JNIOSH is now administering the “National Conference on the Promotion of Occupational Health and Safety” and the annual Symposium to promote high priority occupational health research in Japan.

The institute is also expanding its dissemination of research findings and other OSH information in English, via the English-language website which is constantly modified and expanded to be more useful for both domestic and foreign colleagues.
